1. Publisher
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website and content of the Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine (“JEIM”, “the Journal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Journal is published by Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine. By accessing this website or using any Journal content, you agree to these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You may browse, read, download, and share published articles for academic and non-commercial purposes consistent with the Journal’s open-access policy. You must not:
- misrepresent authorship, affiliation, or endorsement by the Journal;
- use the site to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful material;
- attempt unauthorized access to editorial systems, accounts, or unpublished manuscripts;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content in a manner that impairs site performance or violates applicable law;
- remove copyright notices, DOI metadata, or publisher attribution from Journal materials.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated for a specific article, the Journal website design, branding, logos, compilation, and publisher materials are protected by copyright and related rights owned by or licensed to Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine. Individual articles remain subject to the copyright and licensing terms stated on each article page.
Authors grant the Journal the rights needed to peer-review, edit, publish, archive, index, and distribute accepted manuscripts. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party trademarks or licensed content.
4. Submissions and author responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts represent that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere (except as disclosed), is not under consideration elsewhere, and does not infringe third-party rights. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, citations, permissions, and disclosures of conflicts of interest. The Journal may decline, withdraw, or retract content that breaches ethical or legal standards.
5. Peer review and editorial discretion
Submission does not guarantee peer review or publication. Editorial decisions are final and may be based on scholarly merit, scope fit, ethical review, and publisher policies. The Journal may correct, update, or remove content when required for accuracy, integrity, or legal compliance.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and published content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Research findings do not constitute professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine, its editors, reviewers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or reputation arising from use of the website or reliance on published content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) fees paid by you to the Journal for the specific service giving rise to the claim (if any) or (b) USD 100.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Journal of Experimental & Integrative Medicine and its editors from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
9. Third-party links and services
The website may link to external indexing services, repositories, or submission systems. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or privacy practices.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Journal’s publishing operations, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts of competent jurisdiction shall have exclusive authority over disputes that cannot be resolved amicably, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
