Copyright Policy

The Journal of Experimental and Integrative Medicine (JEIM), published by Gesdav, respects authors’ rights and supports broad dissemination of scholarly work through open access publishing.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in JEIM retain full copyright of their work. Publication in JEIM does not transfer copyright ownership to the journal or to the publisher (Gesdav).

2. License to Publish

By submitting and publishing an article in JEIM, authors grant JEIM and Gesdav the right of first publication and the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the article in all formats (including print and electronic forms), and to archive the article as part of the journal record.

3. Licensing

All articles published in JEIM are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Under the CC BY 4.0 license:

  • Others may copy, distribute, transmit, and adapt the work for any purpose (including commercial use),

  • Provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and JEIM,

  • A link to the license is provided,

  • And any changes made are clearly indicated.

4. Author Reuse and Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged and permitted to:

  • Share and distribute their published articles immediately after publication,

  • Deposit the submitted, accepted, or published version in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites,

  • Use the article for teaching, conference presentations, or inclusion in theses and dissertations.

No special permission is required from JEIM or Gesdav for such reuse.

5. Third-Party Materials

If an article contains figures, tables, images, or other content from third-party sources, the author(s) must:

  • Ensure proper permissions have been obtained (where required),

  • Provide appropriate credit and acknowledgments,

  • Clearly indicate if any material is excluded from the article’s Creative Commons license.

JEIM and Gesdav do not assume responsibility for copyright violations related to third-party materials submitted by authors.

6. Proper Attribution Requirement

Any reuse of JEIM content must include:

  • Author name(s),

  • Article title,

  • Journal name (Journal of Experimental and Integrative Medicine),

  • Publisher (Gesdav),

  • Citation details (volume, issue, pages, year),

  • DOI or URL (if applicable),

  • Indication of modifications (if any).
